Proactive Disclosure Guidelines for Multinational Corporations

Despite there being the legal requirement for proactive disclosure of information, multinational companies carrying out extractive operations in Kenya have no framework or mechanism in place to facilitate the realisation of the right to access to information. This guide intends to address this gap, enhancing the capacity of multinational companies to perform their duty to proactively disclose information that is of importance to the citizenry. The guidelines aims to assist extractive companies carrying out operations in Kenya to proactively disclose relevant information in line with Constitutional and legislative principles, throughout the extractive value chain.
