This publication presents the findings of a study on the gender responsive budgeting process and how it can be applied to Kenya’s planning process. The document contains a good review of the gender responsive initiatives in Kenya, spelling out the key requirements for the successful gender mainstreaming of budgets in Kenya. It is widely recognized that certain actions contribute to gender responsive budgeting initiatives being owned and implemented successfully in certain countries.
